I’ve just returned from Scotland as very proud father after my son’s graduation. He has a Master of Science degree from Southampton University and now a Doctorate from Dundee University. If “Quantifying soil reinforcement by fibrous roots” interests you then he’s your man :-)
Well done that man!
This country should be supporting people like your son. Instead we make it more difficult for such people and their families to receive higher education. Even after his education, he won’t be valued for his research efforts. He’ll be on ‘limited time contracts’ dependant upon him being able to raise vast sums of money for his employing establishment!
Good luck to him for the future, I hope his efforts are rewarded.
