I’ve had a bit of a bad week judging by the feedback my passengers
\nhave been giving me. If they are to believed every Stagecoach driver in
\nWinchester gives them exactly what they want except me!<\/p>\n
When I explain that Concessionary passes can only be used after
\n9:00am I’m told that “No one has ever told me that. Every other driver
\naccepts my pass”. When I decline to drop some healthy students at a ‘T’
\njunction I was trying to pull out of, because it was a dangerous situation
\nsome 50 metres before the bus stop, I’m informed that “All the other
\ndrivers let us off here”. It seems that no other driver in Winchester
\napplies the rule that return tickets (within the City) can only be issued
\nafter 9:00am because “Everyone else does”.<\/p>\n
I’ve really no idea what’s in someone’s mind when they say “All other
\ndrivers do” to me. Do they think I’ll immediately say “In that case I’d
\nbetter allow it too”? I wonder if I look such a week willed character that
\nthe thought that I’m out of step with others will make me immediately fall
\ninto line? They’ll just have to learn that I don’t accept Concessionary
\npasses before 9:00 (well, maybe 08:59) but 08:30 is a definite no, no. If
\nyou want a door to door passenger service use the vehilcle with ‘Taxi’
\nwritten on it. If you’re happy to be dropped of in the vicinity of where you
\nwant go get on the vehicle with a number ‘5’, ‘7’ or whatever on the front
