That’s absolutely right!<\/p>\n
The number of stalls, rather surprisingly, started to drop off before Christmas. Sunday was almost pitiful :-( I asked the Market Manager about it and got a lot of ‘PR type’ speak to explain the reduced number of stalls none of which rang true. He claimed there were 55 stalls there on Sunday and when I countered that there must have been around 100 this time last year he let slip that the market peaked at 98. That’s 100 in my language!<\/p>\n
Our purchases were:<\/p>\n
1 x piece belly pork (eaten last night together with sprout tops etc)
\n2 x 1 litre organic Guernsey milk
\n1\/2 pt Guernsey cream
\n1 x large crab (tonights dinner in the form of crab cakes with mango salsa and French Fries. The shell was then used to make 1 litre of crab bisque)
\n1 x bag Selsey prawns
\n1 x bag Brussel Sprout tops
\n2 x parsnips
\n1 x Swede
\n1 x Acorn Squash
\nA number of carrots
\n2 x packs plain pork sausages (the only ones for breakfast)
